Having discovered her husband Dominique’s infidelity, Cathy, the owner of a pet store in Annecy, Cathy leaves him and moves to Grenoble with their two children, Clarisse and Ferdinand. Consumed by guilt, her aggressive husband finds her and begs her to come back. She refuses. In a fit of rage, he violently beats her until she’s unconscious and kidnaps Clarissa and Ferdinand. He takes them to a luxurious ski resort in Switzerland, where he hopes to establish a business while avoiding the French courts. Despite her weak state, Cathy starts looking for her children.
