Boxer Billy Hope (Jake Gyllenhaal) has everything going for him - he’s just won a title fight, he lives in a mansion and has a loving and beautiful wife Maureen (Rachel McAdams) and an adoring daughter Leila (Oona Laurence). When Billy attends a charity function, a tragedy occurs. Soon after, Billy loses his money, his home and his daughter. Leila is put into the same system that he once was a part of when he was a kid. He needs to get back on his feet in order to get Leila back home. But first he has to have a home.
