Although recently retired, former Commissioner Lionel Kasdan can’t resist the urge to investigate the murder of Wilhelm Goetz, a parish priest found lying in the nave of the church, his eardrums perforated. Meanwhile, Frank Salek, an impulsive and rebellious Interpol agent, is investigating a clandestine organization that kidnaps orphans worldwide. Discovering disturbing similarities in their respective cases, the two men decide to collaborate. But while Salek is confronted with a past he’s tried to keep hidden, Kasdan sees the darkest chapters of WWII re-open before his eyes.
