Walter Mitty (Ben Stiller) is a daydreamer who escapes his anonymous life by disappearing into a world of fantasies filled with heroism, romance and action. He joins eHarmony to connect with a co-worker (Kristen Wiig) and tries to send her a wink, but it won’t go through. He works in the photo department for Life magazine, and finds that the magazine is publishing one final issue, after which everyone’s jobs are threatened. When the negative for the final cover goes missing, Walter takes action in the real world, embarking on a global journey that turns into an adventure more extraordinary than anything he could have ever imagined.
