Umbria, Italy. Gelsomina, the eldest of four daughters of beekeeper parents, thinks she can save their farm by signing the family up for “Village Wonderland,” a reality program that will be shot in their area. But her father, an idealist who tries to keep the modern world well away from his family, refuses categorically to be lead by the teenager into this adventure driven by an actress disguised as a medieval princess. While the children attend to the farm work by helping their parents produce honey, the arrival of Martin, a small boy who has had scrapes with the law, upsets the family balance.
