Although they keep to themselves, the Parkers seem like a wholesome family. However, their father, Frank, is strict about their ancestral customs and when their mother is killed in an accident during a torrential rainstorm, teenage daughters Iris (Ambyr Childers) and Rose (Julia Garner) have to assume family responsibilities, including preparing their unusual meals. While the townspeople deal with flood damage from the storm, a girl is reported to have gone missing, and a dog finds what appears to be a human bone in the creek. As local authorities begin to uncover interesting clues that may lead them to the Parker family secret, the town doctor makes a surprising discovery while performing an autopsy on Mrs. Parker.
